PPN Programme Of Events

PPN arranges a variety of CPD expert talks, site tours, social and networking events.  Members are also invited to attend events organised by UCEM (University College of Estate Management), 3CPD Ltd, the Construction & Property Lunch Club and the Lunchtime Comment Club (LCC).  Events for 2020 are currently being organised and will be included below shortly.  We always welcome ideas for future events from members and students


UCEM Christmas Open Event - Reading

DATE: Wednesday,  4 December 2019 between 4pm for 6pm

LOCATION: 'Horizons', 60 Queen's Road, Reading  RG1 4BS

You are invited to a special Christmas open event at UCEM's Reading ‘Horizons’ office on Wednesday 4 December.  UCEM will be opening the office from 4pm – 6pm to any prospective students or employers that would like to know more about the programmes they offer and their online learning model.

We will be joined by Tutors from our Construction and Real Estate Faculties, as well as members of our Admissions and Apprenticeships Teams who will be on hand to answer any queries you may have.

You are then invited, along with local students, alumni and employers, to join UCEM from 6pm – 8pm for their Christmas meet-up where there will be festive drinks and canapes available. This is a chance to meet others with a similar interest in the Built Environment as well as talk to those that have experienced supported online learning with UCEM.

UCEM regrets that parking is not available. However, UCEM are a 10 minute walk from the train station and the Queens Road NCP is just over the road.

From 6pm – 8pm on Wednesday 4 December UCEM will be opening their Reading ‘Horizons’ office to local students, alumni and businesses for festive drinks, canapes and a chance to network. Members of their Academic Team and support staff will also be joining them too so it’s a great way to meet the people you regularly speak to but might not have met.

Construction & Property Lunch Club

DATE: Monday,  9 December 2019 - 12:30pm for 1:00pm

LOCATION: Savile Club, 69 Brook Street, London W1K 4ER

PRICE: £80pp - 3 courses, including turkey main course (plus tea/coffee).  Vegan/vegetarian alternative available.  Bucks Fizz on arrival (or cash bar beforehand).  Half bottle of wine included).

UCEM PPN Annual Lunch at the House of Lords

DATE: Friday 24 January 2020 - 12.30pm-2.30pm

location:  Palace of Westminster, London SW1

We are delighted to announce that the Earl of Lytton has kindly agreed to host the  forthcoming UCEM PPN Annual Lunch.  PPN members, including UCEM students and alumni, are invited to attend the Annual Lunch, and are very welcome to bring guests if they wish. Tables seating 10 may be booked, subject to availability.

A tour after lunch of the Palace of Westminster by a Blue Badge Guide will be available for lunch attendees - limited places available.

APC Workshop by Anthony Banfield and Sandie Lee (3CPD event)

DATE & TIME: Thursday 6 February 2020, 8.30am Registration with tea/coffee for 9.00am start.  Finish by 12.30pm.

LOCATION: Maidenhead Golf Club, Shoppenhangers Rd, Maidenhead SL6 2PZ

PRICE: FREE to APC candidates and students.

Anthony Banfield, FRICS from Banfield Real Estate Solutions and Sandie Lee, Associate tutor at UCEM (University College of Estate Management), will be running a half day APC Workshop at Maidenhead Golf Club on Thursday 6th February 2020.

This event is FREE to all APC candidates and students and will be covering the mandatory competencies and some of the main specialist competencies. These competencies are a mix of the professional practice, interpersonal, business and management skills that are considered common to, and necessary for, all chartered and technical surveyors.

PPN Spring Golf Day

COST:  To be confirmed.

Price includes coffee & bacon roll on arrival, morning round of golf and four course carvery lunch (drinks not included).

Tandridge golf course is set among mature woodland with spectacular views of the Surrey North Downs and the countryside of Kent and Sussex.  It is easily accessible from the M25 junction 6.
